My fluency in Mandarin Chinese allows me to build deep relationships with factory owners and top management, all the way through to front line factory personnel. These relationships allow me to peel back the layers necessary to understand the underlying core motivators and drivers for decision making and work practices in factories which can often bewilder Westerners.

Working in the manufacturing industry in China for 6+ years has taught me first hand both the positive and negative aspects of sourcing directly from China suppliers. I have come to understand and appreciate the many subtle nuances that are weaved throughout Chinese business culture. I navigate both Western and Chinese thinking to facilitate and build mutually beneficial working relationships with supply chain partners.

Supplier Relationship Manager

“Guanxi is the key”.

As we move through this exciting journey together I’m sure you will pick up a few key Chinese words, one of which will be β€˜Guanxi’. Loosely translated it means: relationships.

All our experience has taught us that achieving a successful supply chain in China, one that delivers the right product, at the right quality and consistency for your business, must be built on positive, real relationships. Real relationships with every one of our manufacturers and every link along the supply chain. This is the role Sam plays – and plays well.

Sam is a local of Jiangsu Province and resides full time in China. Sam is pivotal in searching out, evaluating, and visiting potential suppliers. He is there on the ground building those real relationships while ensuring quality and consistency are met.

Supplier Relationship Manager is his official title but we could just as accurately call him “the Peace of Mind Manager” which is exactly what we offer you. You can rest assured that your project is being watched over at the front line by a man who coined our mission:

‘Connecting two worlds, one relationship at a time’.
